Cape Town is the place to flirt with danger, get messy, have fun and cause a frenzy – XXX style.

A city begging to be explored, where the mountains meet the city that meets the ocean, Cape Town is a playground for the extreme.

Skating, BMX, Surfing and FMX, this is a subculture of adrenalin-junkies, defiant in their quest for unadulterated and uncompromised freedom.

Recklessly passionate and always amped.

Albeit not really being a conventional team sport, these guys and girls encompass the undeniable spirit of a team. Driving, inspiring and challenging one another. They’re as stoked if their mates pull off a trick, get the best wave, or win a comp, as if they had.

They’re free agents, all in it together.

Some names that should definitely be dropped…

In the surfing scene one must mention John Whitmore http://www.legendarysurfers.com/surf/legends/lsc217_oom.html,http://www.wavescape.co.za/obituaries/goodbye-oom.html & http://www.wavescape.co.za/history/part-2-pointbreak-pioneers.html, who regrettably passed away in 2002,  still remains the father of SA surfing and an inspiration to all.  Other SA guys definitely worth looking up and out for are Jordy Smith http://www.jordy-smith.co.za/ – the guy who’s flying the kite for international Surfing and has clear-cut world champ potential, and then the big wave underground chargers  like Grant “twiggy” Baker and Chris Bertish.

Jokers of trickery and stylish maneuvers, a few insane skaters licking the streets are Moses Adams, Thalente Biyela and Dallas Oberholzer.

Greg Illingworth, Tyrone Bradley and Stuart Loudon, these BMX boys are speed on wheels, shredding the dirt and prolific in their agility and drive. Tail-flips and back flips, FMX is getting pushed to new levels by guys like Nick de Wit, Colin Stanton and Brendan Potter.
