**STRONG (ALTHOUGH TASTEFULLY USED) LANGUAGE WARNING**
It is with heavy, heavy heads that we have rolled out of our respective beds and are staring at this blog entry, hoping it will write itself. Stupid thing. Surely we have the technology for brain powered word processing by now. Anyway, It’s cold, wet, grey, miserable and all we want to do is watch an almost nauseating amount of torrented TV series. This general feeling of apathy can only mean one thing – hangover city. Population? Two. Who? Us. Why? Melbourne musos abroad, that’s why.
Introducing The Night Terrors. Melbourne based, European touring psychotic synth and theremin psychedelia. These guys are one of our favourite antipodean outfits of the minute.
*A friend of ours told us to describe their music as this. He also says things like “post rock,” so who knows if he can be trusted. We were going to go with “Adult Contemporary” because it is funnier. What-evs.
The gig was in your typical Berlin squat, Køpi, situated in the jewel of Berlin’s bohemian crown – Kreuzberg.
Køpi is decorated in the traditional squatter’s style of ubiquitous graffiti, stray dogs and even strayer punks, as well as a few charming touches of cranky political decries and the odd “Uck the State,” scrawled across toilet doors etc. The air was subtly fragranced with the unmistakable stench of both human and canine piss, and we bought three beers for 4.90Euros… how does one arrive to that amount for three beers? That’s like, 1.63(repeater) per beer. Ha – such a Punk thing to do. Make a beer cost a ridiculous amount so they can get pissed off every time someone orders one.
“Hey, ah, just two beers please.”
“Ja, ok. That’s 3.2666666… Grrrr! Fuuuuu*k moneyyyy! This bullsh capitalist oppressive f**king institution, down with Sarkozy, etc. WE WANT THE BANK OF TIME!”
“Wow, dude. It’s cool, round it up, whatever, make it 3.30. Shit. Don’t make it so hard on yourself. What sort of price is that for a beer anyway? This is good beer. Imported, even.”
Wow. This was going to be about The Night Terrors, wasn’t it? Whoops. So, The Night Terrors are super awesome and you should definitely, definitely track them down when they are in your postcode and check’em out. They’re lurking around Europe until the end of November before heading back to marvellous Melbourne.
Ah yes, one final thing. We apologise for only having a few images of last night. And that those few images, aren’t even of the band. The reasons for this are two-fold:
1. Matho’s camera bit the dust
2. Nedd’s camera which was used to take the rest of the photos, got on the tour van with Nedd this morning, and alas! No pics in Berlin. They are on their way to Wein or somewhere. Easy photo fail.

PS. When I say “rolled out of bed,” to write this, it was more like “rolled over in bed” to write this. Doing work from bed, conferencing over Skype, chatting toast requests to your housemate in another room. Easy are all about utilising the internet to it’s fullest potential.
