Finding success in the music industry can be a challenging task – to say the least – while a handful of artists can find success, most struggle to earn a living and many buckle under the strain.

After six years and dealing with more than a few ups-and-downs, hard-core Melbourne band Mill Perra, have reunited with a newly found passion and determination that could boost the group to new heights.

A few weeks back, a friend and I attended Mill Perra’s comeback performance at the Barley Corn Hotel in Collingwood. Set in a Halloween themed pub, with plenty of fake blood and styrofoam skulls, the group unleashed a wickedly entertaining set. Playing all originals – Mill Perra’s tight sound and enthusiasm on stage kept a relatively small crowd entertained from start to finish.

As you can tell from the photos, Mill Perra display a raw energy that comes from years of experience, dedication and a love for all things hardcore. The group are now in the process of recording their first EP and while it’s difficult to tell the future of Mill Perra, one thing’s for sure, their passion for making good music is alive and well.
