Fiction: a love affair of all things dirty… A darkly lit battlefield of beats and bodies, and on May 2010 a birthday party…Cape Town’s cutting-edge underground playground turned 4. Tick tock, tick tock, the night held many surprises. Read more…

Dylan Culhane has worked as editor for two of what I feel are South Africa’s most edgy, controversial, off-the-wall and inspirational mags – VICE (current role) and previously at One Small Seed magazine. Here is an interview with Dylan. He’s a guy with a permanent exhibition in his lounge, and I will say it again…take note of him, he’s already probably taken note of you. This is a report that comes with the intent to make your visions into a reality. And this is a guy who can help you realize it is possible. Enjoy.

So, in the realm of writing, you get ‘The Story’, and then you get the STORY behind the Story. You know. The Real Sh*t. The sh%t you won’t find on Google… until it is blogged.

AM Stereo is Mark Ackermann and Steffan Olivier. They are Cape Town based electro Producers and are currently in the process of writing Jack Parow’s (Pastiche type Afrikaans Rapper’s) second album.

This interview was conducted under much debauchery. It was scribbled in green highlighter on torn out lined paper and left on Steffan’s decks among scatterings of naughty leftovers. Loud background beats disrupted any attempts to concentrate on writing legit questions.

So The Curious Incident….Who are you?

We are The Curious Incident… without the dog, without the night time

How long have you guys known each other…..and how did it all begin?

The band formed in late 2009 when Kyle convinced Adrian to do this Curious thing properly. Then we got Josh. We like Josh. We had a drummer – great drummer. Less than great band member. Dead now. With a spoon. Hope it didn’t hurt too much.

Sarah Picton

I am Sarah, which means Princess. I am far from a Princess. Rather a master of spontaneity who strives to find flamboyancy in simple things. Breezy days and tanned feet make me smile. I am always making mistakes, but am finally starting to learn from them. Things which make me happy are camp fire ghost stories, sticking stickers, doodling, cold red apples, open minds and the world at large. I have started a blog. I have just got my first tattoo. It's the first music notes to a line to a PJ Harvey song that says "If that's all there is, my friend, then lets keep dancin’". I spend a lot of time thinking of old friends and good times. I spend more time thinking about how many places I want to explore though. Humbleness, getting out of my comfort zone and learning from others is of utmost importance to me. Dr. Seuss is my favourite author and my favourite line is "With brains in your head, and feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose". I love watching people engage in things they are passionate about, it reminds me why we all have different talents and why we should embrace and celebrate them. I write for a living. I need to be challenged. I am sure I am ADD. I will be a political photojournalist one day. I talk really loudly and eat loads of popcorn and spill loads of coffee. I also say thank you, please and try smile and laugh a lot. And i HEARTSouth Africa, it rocks.
