Opened in Akihabara, Tokyo in March 2010, 3331 Arts Chiyoda is a multi-level art center that aims to “create a new art form”. Located in the former Chiyoda Rensei Junior High School, this ‘alternative art space for the 21st century’ offers a range of artistic and cultural activities, as well as a place to link Tokyo with it’s surrounding regions and other East Asian arts communities.

I’m lost in my cold coffee smoking a Marlboro Red, distracted by my happiness. This is a report about a girl living in Cape Town for summer and experiencing a new year. It’s about eating blueberry nerds and getting messy on school nights. It’s about laughter, inspiration and popcorn. Like life, it’s about everything and nothing. Perhaps it’s the endless summer that’s got Cape Town caught in a spell, but for once, I’m a part of it…

Hosted by +81 Creatives – an editorial team for one of the Japanese creative magazines known as +81 – their first creative event TOKYO GRAPHIC PASSPORT took place over two days from October 11-12, with an aim to offer a place as a communication center for creative minds of the future. For their two main events entitled as Tokyo Visualist Symposium and International Magazine Conference, leading creators and art directors of creative magazines were invited from Paris, Berlin, New York, Singapore, Amsterdam, London and Tokyo to fully deliver their creative senses through the conference.
