Some could say that previous New York MOOKS Reporter, Unemployed Lloyd is what you call a ”genius.” Genius in the sense that he has managed to get by for the past ten years, in one of the most expensive cities in the world, on little to no money. If you’ve ever been to New York City and seen the price of housing for anywhere remotely considered not in the sticks, you’ll realize that this in itself is a fine art.
New York has a lot to thank ‘Mean Red’ for… firstly, because they know how to throw great parties featuring amazing artists and secondly, because they’re inadvertently helping people find love in this big ol’ city (i.e. on the dance floor).

Since I can remember, Mean Red Productions and my crew Da Hardy Boyz have wanted to collaborate on a party. A perfect match up if you ask me. Them, a group of established promoters and us, a motley crew of musicians and DJs with an unquenchable thirst for partying.
What’s the next best thing to partying on a luxury yatch? Partying on a Melbourne rooftop – of course!
Perched six stories above the streets of St Kilda overlooking Melbourne’s iconic Luna Park, Aussie rockers Kisschasey performed a rousing set to more than 200 hip kids at a private party on Friday night.
Between a wedding, filthy house party, dirty nightclub and confrontations with a fat, naked, hairy Croatian dude (nick-named Troll), I managed to squeeze in a visit to the Brisbane Valley Fiesta at the weekend.
I know it’s not a Melbourne event, but some good friends tied the knot in Queensland on Saturday (congratulations Ant and Sara!), so I thought why not kill two birds with one stone. Video of groom!
